What is the difference between “biofilm removal” and “biofilm kill”?

Both “biofilm removal” and “biofilm kill” are terms regulated by the EPA.
The “biofilm kill” claim refers only to the control of bacteria within a biofilm and applies only to the specific microorganisms indicated on the individual product label.
The “biofilm removal” statement corresponds to the removal of the biofilm structure from hard surfaces.
